Note* Charles is buried in the Denny Cemetery, Finley Township, Webster County,MO. Per 'Webster County Cemetery Inscriptions, Book IV', 1984 by MaryBean Cunningham, there is a small stone inscribed with only 'Chas. & Ann'and it is near Mary A. Mounce (Mounts?) and children of John Denny (anephew). Note that Mary (Mounce) Denny was the widow of Benjamin Denny. Per the book 'Seymour Area History-1992, p. 163, both brothers, Benjamin,Sr. and Charles, Jr. homesteaders in 1836 on adjoining farms on FinleyCreek. This area was Green County, MO until it became Pulaski County; in1841, it became Wright County and in 1855 it became Webster County, MO. He administered his fathers estate in 1834 and per Mary E. Denney, wentto Missouri about 1836. In 1840, he was in the Pulaski County, MO census, in 1850, his widow wasin the Wright County, Mo census and in 1860 & 1870 his widow was in theWebster County, MO census. He and his widow had not moved to appear atdifferent places during these census reports, rather the county linesmerely shifted around them. His widow Annie was living with her daughter, Manerva Silvey at the timeof the 1870 Webster County, MO census. For anyone wanting to research the Duncans (Annie's parents), there arenumerous ancestors of Annie to be found on Broderbund World Family Tree #2963, CD #11. His wife Annie was recorded as AMERIE ANN DUCKON in the book 'The DenneyFamily', located at the Marshfield, MO Public Library. Their marriage date may be Jan 9, 1815 as transcribed into early WayneCounty, birth, death and wills records.ADDITIONAL DATA ON CHILDREN Catherine was living with her mother and family during the 1850 WrightCounty, MO census. William supposedly died 'On The Plains'. He was living with his motherand family during the 1850 Wright County, MO census. Per Mary E. Denney, Elizabeth and her husband had no children.
