Obituary of Minnie Ireland.
"Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Canni Ireland, 83, were held Sunday, June 29, at the Christian Church in Rangely. Rev. George Menge was in charge of the service. She died June 26 at Cowlitz General Hospital Longview, Wash., following an illness of one week. Burial was in the Rangely Cemetery in charge of Carmain Funeral Home. Mrs. Ireland was born at Hoosier [Hooser], Kansas, on January 12, 1892. She attended schools in Hoosier [Hooser]. Following her formal education, she lived in Oklahoma. She married William C. Ireland at Wichita, Kansas, on Oct. 7, 1922. In 1955, Mrs. Ireland moved to Rangely and this
was her home until the death of her late husband William February 8,1974. She then moved to Longview, Wash., to be near her daughter. Mrs. Ireland was a
member of the Christian Church. Survivors are four sons Lloyd H. Jones of Sacramento, Calif., Lyle Jones of Paradise, Calif. Roy Ireland of Blackwell, Okla., and Ray Ireland of Nevada, Mo.; and a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Philpot, Longview, Wash. 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Damell of Neosho, Mo. Pall bearers were Don Collins, Earl Conwell, Richard J. Lee, Forrest Norman, R. B. Sullivan and R. G. Wright."2,14
