Death*18 May 1960 Sedan City Hospital, Sedan, Chautauqua Co., KS, "Mrs. Booher, 76, Dies at Sedan: Sedan (JNS) - Mrs. Martha Jane Booher, 76, a resident of Sedan seven years, died at 9:50 last night in Sedan City Hospital. She had been a patient there 10 days. Funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Graves Baird Funeral Chapel by Rev. Hurley Low of the Sedan First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Dexter, Kas. cemetery. Mrs. Booher was born May 24, 1883, at Dexter, living there and at Arkansas City until coming to Sedan seven years ago. She and Samuel J. Booher were married Dec. 8, 1902, in Sedan. He died Dec. 26, 1954. She was a member of the Baptist Church here. Survivors include three daighters, Mrs. Maude Johnson, Fredonia, Mrs. Charles Todd, Sedan, Mrs. Z.E.White, Dallas; three sons, Ben Booher, Dexter, Emory Booher, Detroit, Ernest Booher, Chautauqqua; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Ireland, Colorado, Mrs. Dollie Carter, Cedar Vale, Mrs. Hazel Darnell, Neosho, Mo.; sister-in-law, Mrs. Al Wood, Delaware. A daughter, Goldia, died in 1927."1,7
