| Note* | | Jesse moved with his family from West Elkton, Preble County, Ohio to Salem, Henry County, Iowa in 1837. In the 1860 census, he was living in Lynn Grove, Jasper County, Iowa and was a wagon maker. In the 1880 census, he lived in Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas, where he was a minister. He later moved to Fresno, CA. William Denney of Vancouver, WA gives Mary Palmer, DOB 1825 in Ontario, Canada as his wife. For the present time, I am going to use data from Cherie Logan that shows his wife as Mary Hodson.3 |
