Children
  • Emily Pruett8 (c 1814 - )
  • Mary Pruett8 (c 1816 - )
  • Martha Ann Pruett+ (20 Nov 1820 - 27 Jun 1899); "The proof I have that Martha was the daughter of Wilson and Rebecca Kimberling Pruett is that my aunt Amber Hiestand who is the granddaughter of Martha Pruett Hiestand states that Martha and Nancy Pruett Aker were sisters." from Martha Pruett genealogy. My question is how do we known Nancy is their daughter? She is not listed by name in the information regarding the Pruett's. Other proof of relationship:
Martha's name on the marriage certificate is Prewett (not Pruett).
Death card of Rebecca in possession of Solomon and Martha Hiestand
There are others (e.g. Jarrot and Lucy Pruett), both family heads born in VA that could be siblings of Martha but could not be children of Wilson Pruett based on earlier censuses. A letter in the Hiestand book implies they are cousins.1
  • Nancy Pruett8 (c 1825 - )
  • Virginia Pruett8 (10 Mar 1829 - 12 Nov 1918)
