Though Vivienne (nee Richards) Jones records indicated that Mother's maiden name was Ellen Lakey - I believe this is the right family. A search of the 1880 Census Index found on LDS Family Seach - where all individuals are indexed - of all John Thomas's born in Illinois and all Minnie Thomas's born within a couple of Vivienne's birthdate for Minnie only give one family with both a John and a daughter of Minnie's age in the family. Since that family was in Illinois and Galatia makes it seem the right family. There were no John Thomas's with wife named Ellen anywhere in the US in the 1880 census. In 1920 census, Lucinda was listed as Lucinda E., Principal=John William Thomas, Principal=Lucinda Ellen (?)7
