| Burial* | after 5 June 1949 | Howard Cemetery, Macon Co., MO, The Howard Cemetery was established in 1881. The land was donated by the Howard family, relatives of the Cook and Elliot families. The first person buried in the Howard Cemetery was a little boy, Joel Souther, age 14, whose mother was a Howard. In 1882, a year after Joel's death, Charles Clifford, brother of Arthur Grimshaw. was thrown from a horse and killed. He was the second to be buried at the Howard Cemetery.2 |
