Luther Earl Elliott was born February 26, 1918 in Atlanta, MO and passed away March 12, 2000 at the Colonial Springs Care Center in Buffalo MO. He was the eldest son of George and Grace (Burnam) Elliott. He was reared and went to school in Macon County. He married Lois Davolt of Ethel, October 8, 1937. They had a daughter, Lois Geraldine now living in Citrus Heights CA. He married Mary Jones November 10, 1967. He was proceeded in death by his parents and one brother, Clinton Dale Elliott. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Gerrie McDonall, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, five stepchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, one sister Vadyne Allen of Callao and one brother Keith Burnam of AZ. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1943 and was discharged December 31, 1945. He was an active member of the VFW Post of Nixa, MO and the American Legion.
