OBITUARY
Clinton Dale Elliott, age 73, of the Redman, Missouri, community, passed away on Thursday (January 22, 1998), at 8:50 a.m. at his home.
Born on July 22, 1924, at Ethel, Missouri, he was the son of George Milton and Lena Grace (Burnam) Elliott. On September 28, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Scott, who preceded him in death on November 18, 1988. On December 22, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was married to Virginia Simpson, who survives.
Also preceding him in death were his parents.
Other survivors include one daughter, Elaine Elliott of Del Mar, California; one son, Clinton J. Elliott of Strasburg, Colorado; three stepchildren, Donald Simpson of New Castle, Indiania, Cathy Keith of La Plata, Missouri, and Cheryl Henderson of Lancaster, California; two grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Luther Earl Elliott of Highlandville, Missouri, and Finis Keith Burnam of Mesa, Arizona; one sister, Vadyne Allen of Callao, Missouri; and other relatives and friends.
Dale was a 1943 graduate of Elmer High School and served his country in the United States Army during World War II. From 1949 to 1974, he worked as an assemblyman at General Motors in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a member of the U.A.W. Union. He had resided in Redman Community since 1986, and was a member of the Atlanta Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at l:00 p.m. on Sunday (January 25, 1998), at the Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta, Missouri, with the Reverend Bob Welsh officiating. Music was provided by Sue Cavender, organist, and Bob Welsh, soloist. Musical selections were "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden".
Burial was in the Mr. Tabor Cemetery, east of Atlanta, Missouri. Pallbearers were Calvin Burgess, Raymond Stull, Melvin Riley, Jim Nelson, Jerry Brown, and Roy Evans.2,3
