In the matter of the last will and testament of John S. Morris dec'd
Be it remembered that on this 10th day of July 1854 a certified copy of the last will and testament of John S. Morris dec'd was this day produced in open court and it appearing to the court that the same had been duly proved and admitted to record in Pike County Ohio. It is therefore ordered to be recorded in Scioto County which is in the word and figures following to wit "In the name of God Amen!! J John S. Morris of the Township of Marion in the County of Pike State of Ohio in feeble health but of sound mind and memory. Blessed be Almighty God for the Same do make and publish this my last will and testament: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Morris my entire estate real and personal after paying my just debts and funeral expenses to her sole use and benefit during her natural life. At her death I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lifle Wells formerly Lifle Morris all my personal property of whatsoever kind it may be and an equal undivided half of my real estate Situate in Scioto County and State of Ohio. I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas S. Morris the remaining undivided equal half of my real estate which may remain unconsumed at the death of my said wife. The above distribution of my personal and real estate is made in view of our age and infirmity that those who shall take care of us may not be the sufferer thereby In testimony whereof I here unto set my hand and Seal and publish this to be my last will and testament in presence of the witnesses named below this second day of September AD 1852 [could be 1832]
