The 1820 census for Meigs Co, OH, lists only these Tubbs (all pages 113 or 113A. John and Joseph Sloan were also listed on page 113A.):
Daniel
Frederick -- had all sons, no daughters
Frederick, Jr. - 1 son, Russell, per Louis MacCartney
Reuben - son of Ezra (b ca 1800)
William - son of Frederick (b 1791)

The only Tubb resident of Meigs Co in 1820 with daughters was Daniel. We feel certain Deborah was born in Canada from the 1850 and 60 census, which would have been given to the census taker by John or Deborah. The 1880 census info. of Ira Sloan, which said his mother was born in OH, was probably given by Hugh Dunsieth.

Something we should check out is to see if there were any Tubbs in Meigs Co. in 1800.

I have a copy of Daniel Tubb's will, which leaves property to "my wife", then "my children and the children of any of them". (He could have at least written out their names!!)2
