Note*1817 Samuel Millikan was prominent among Friends and helped to establish various meetings. He was an active opponent of slavery. He was on of the Trustees appointed by the friends to hold title of slaves whose freedom could not be secured, and by his will made in 1817 he disposed of several slaves.1
