Note* Mary McKinney, the surviving twin, was born in Greene County, Missouri. She taught school for a while. She also stayed for a time with the family of her uncle Mastin, before she married James Chetum Turley. He had been born in 1865 in Cherokee County, Kansas, and was remembered as a very kindly man; a sort of pillar of strength to the family. He was a rather prosperous farmer in Cherokee County, where he died in the 1930s. Mary survived him, but died there in the 1940s.1
