Note* Robert McKinney. He was born in August, 1885, in Cherokee County, Kansas. He, with two of his brothers, worked their way through the University of Kansas Medical School. About 1917, he married Pansy (Mayme) Beltzhoover in Baxter Springs.

He set up an office in Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California. After ten or fifteen years, Pansy died, and Robert closed his office and never practiced medicine again. One wonders whether he may have blamed his profession - or himself - for her death.

During the 1930s he traveled about in a house-trailer, and finally settled - more or less - in California. He is thought to have lived on the proceeds from an annuity which he had purchased.

He was remarried, then divorced and married yet again by the time of his death, about 1976.1
