| Note* | Moved with wife to Carthage Missouri in 1869, where Isaac followed his trade as bricklayer and owned a brick factory. He laid the brick on the former three-story Central School building erected on the site of the present high school. Many brick homes in Carthage were built from bricks made in the Wheeler Brickyard. The family lived for many years at the corner of Orchard and Second Streets, facing south on Second. Four children were born.1 | |
