Marriage*1878 OH, William Sloan is Sarah Jane Sloan's son born out of wedlock. She married Hugh Dunsieth and had 2 more children, Ira Robert and Ella (married A.W.Grimshaw). Hugh was Catholic and Sarah Jane was Methodist. All 3 children are brothers and sisters. Hugh's folks stopped the wedding in Ohio, 12 years later he came to MO and they married. [Note based on the 1880 Census and other sources of birthdates, Hugh and Sarah were only 13 at time of William's birth, though William is listed as their son in the 1880 Census - explains why Sarah would not tell her age, Sarah on the 1850 Census was listed as age 3 making her 20 at William's birth, along with Hugh at 13, ], Principal=Sarah Jane Sloan5,1,6,7
